This my Aborigine "Dot" Painting. I combined lizards and abstract forms in a balanced pleasing way. Just like in Australian Aborigine art the painting has a meaning by using many forms of Aborigine symbols. My message was "Lizards going to the sun." I applied black India ink on the back of the piece. The wax crayons created a batik-like resist effect when the ink was applied, while also giving the paper an antique look. After it dried, I painted different colored dots (which is very common in Aborigine art,) with tempera paint. Assignment given to me in 7th grade art class. 2016

Paste Paper I decorated by mixing wet paint with tools such as plastic forks, combs, and even finger tips. After done drying, I embellished it using colored pencils and glitter. Assignment given to me in 7th grade art class. I made many different pieces like this which I used for other projects...

A book made with small squares that "explodes" when opened giving it its name, Explosion Book. Th cover made with cardboard, ribbon, and construction paper. The inside pages were made from left over  from the Paste Paper project. Embellishments were added with gold and silver Sharpies. Assignment given to me in 7th grade art class. 2016

I then made an Acetate Self Portrait with Paste Paper in the background. I had my photo taken and then traced the the main contours of my face and clothing on acetate with Sharpie. I then painted the back of the acetate with acrylic paint using contrasting colors with my background. Assignment given to me in 7th grade art class. 2016

This is my bamboo ink painting in the style of Chinese brush paintings.  By using flat brushes I made both thin and thick stokes to achieve the bamboo stalk effect.  I diluted the ink to create different tones (that's why bamboo appears to look like it's in the background). I even made my own "chop", a signature stamp that has a Chinese character and my first name. Assignment given to me in 7th grade art class. 2016

This is a medieval style design inspired by illuminated manuscripts of the Middle Ages. Sharpie used for the black outlines, and watercolor pencils for the color. I used four different techniques such as layering and blending. The main challenge was to draw something either overlapping, touching, or interacting with the letter. Assignment given to me in 7th grade art class. 2016
